I kept a beautiful part of myself hidden for a long time. Since accepting myself, I have continued to bloom, sometimes softly and sometimes like an explosion. Bloom Radius begins a series exploring the stories carried by bodies and meanings held by flowers.
Peonies, associated with bashfulness, gather across the eyes of a figure whose body fills the frame. He is fully visible yet still partly protected, filled with both strength and softness. The hot pink underpainting radiates around him like an aura, suggesting that taking up space does not erase the vulnerability of being seen.
