Gnome Night: Dry-Brush Ceramics Paint Party

$45.00

Paint a ceramic gnome in my home studio using an easy, magical technique: dry brushing from dark to light for instant depth and glow. Choose your gnome style, pick a palette theme (or go rogue), snack a little, and leave with a new tiny roommate.

$45 per person
Optional add-on: $10 Tiny Treasure Side Quest

Date & time

February 21, 2026, 1:00–4:00 pm

Registration will close on February 12 to ensure everyone’s pieces are ready.

Location

Reidsville, NC (my home basement studio).
Address shared after registration.

What you’ll paint (choose one)

  • Calder Rootbound (standing, 12" x 5.5")

  • Lorry Mudpuddle (sitting, 7.5" x 5")

  • Fenwick Spryroot (lounging, 6" x 11.5")
    Demo piece: Calder Rootbound

What’s included

  • Your fired bisque gnome

  • All acrylic paints + brushes (no experience needed)

  • Step-by-step instruction in dry brushing layers

  • Light snacks & a mocktail

  • Gloss spray varnish finish (applied after the event by me)

Optional add-on menu

✨ Tiny Treasure Side Quest ($10): choose ONE

  • Two Mini Mushrooms

  • One Swirl Dish

  • Two Mushroom Ornaments

Side Quest Rule: add-ons unlock once your gnome has base coats + first highlight pass (so the realm stays stable).

How varnish + pickup works

Your piece needs time to fully dry before the gloss is applied.
You can either:

  1. Take it home the same night (unvarnished) and seal it yourself later, or

  2. Leave it with me and I’ll apply the gloss spray once dry.

Pickup window: typically 3–7 days after the event. I’ll message you when it’s ready.

What to bring

  • Clothes you don’t mind possibly getting paint on (aprons welcome)

  • If you’d like an adult beverage: BYOB is welcome. I’ll provide cups/ice/water.

House rules

This is a home studio space. By registering, you agree to be respectful of the space and others, watch your step (we’ll have cords/paint water/ceramics around), and follow basic studio safety. Acrylic paint is non-toxic, but please keep food away from paint palettes and wash hands before eating. Spray varnish is applied by me only in a ventilated area.

🐾 Studio Assistant On Duty:
Bonnie (our very friendly dog) will be around during class. She may wander through for pets and moral support. If you have severe allergies or don’t love dogs, this might not be the best class for you.

Spots

Max 18 seats. First-come, first-served.

Cancellation policy

Because pieces are reserved and supplies are prepped in advance:

  • Cancellations 7+ days before: refund minus processing fees

  • Cancellations under 7 days: credit toward a future class (you can also transfer your seat to a friend)
